Candle Care
Small steps. Clean burn. Longer life.
Your First Burn
Let the wax melt to the edges of the vessel. This takes 2 to 3 hours.
A full melt pool on the first burn sets the pattern for every burn after. Skip this step and the wax tunnels down the center. One patient session prevents it.
Trimming Your Wood Wick
Trim to 3 to 4mm before every light. Pinch away the charred wood from the last burn. Short enough that the flame stays low and steady.
Wood wicks split as they burn. That is what creates the crackle. A clean trim exposes fresh grain and gives you a reliable light.
Burn Time
2 to 4 hours per session. Never longer than 4. Let the wax solidify completely before relighting.
Long burns overheat the vessel and flatten the fragrance. Short, consistent sessions give you better scent and a longer life.
Troubleshooting
Flame is too high
Tunneling
Wick won't stay lit
Soot or smoking
Weak scent throw
When to Stop Burning
Stop when the wick clip is visible or about 1cm of wax remains. Past this point, the base of the vessel can overheat.
After the Last Burn
Matte ceramic. Built to outlast the wax. Clean with warm water and a cloth.
